The 2018 Club World Cup fixture schedule has now been released. Real Madrid, who have lifted the title in the last two editions, will again take part in the competition after last season capturing the club's 13th European Cup title in Kiev. The Whites will contest the semi-final on Wednesday 19 December (5:30pm CET, 8:30pm local time). The final, meanwhile, will be played on Saturday 22 December (5:30pm CEST, 8:30pm local time), whilst the third-place play-off will be staged on the same day at 2:30pm CET (5:30pm local time).
The Club World Cup is to be held in the United Arab Emirates for the second year running. Abu Dhabi's Zayed Sports City Stadium, which was the setting for the 2017 showpiece, in which the Whites triumphed over Gremio, will play host to both of Real Madrid's games. So far, the following sides have qualified for the tournament alongside Real Madrid: Al Ain (United Arab Emirates champions), Guadalajara (the CONCACAF representatives) and Team Wellington (Oceania).
