AC MILAN JOIN CHELSEA IN CHASE OF BRAZILIAN WINGER

AC Milan are looking to gain some sort of stability amid leadership changes at the club while also hoping to reinforce the squad a bit ahead of the 2018-19 Serie A season and Europa League play. Former player and manager Leonardo has taken over the role of sporting director for the Rossoneri and is already on the hunt for new talent. The Brazilian’s eyes are currently on Shaktar Donestsk of the Ukrainian League. His interest lies in Brazilian attacer Bernard, who has also garnered the interest of Chelsea. The Blues of London could be forced to replace one of Hazard or Willian and they see Bernard as a suitable fit. Bernard has been at Shaktar since 2013 when he joined from Brazilian club Atletico Mineiro where he completed his youth development. His three-year stay included a loan stint at Democrata-SL in 2010.

SALAH SHINES FOR LIVERPOOL DESPITE SHAMBOLIC SURFACE IN NEW JERSEY

If Liverpool hoped Mohamed Salah's return would add some stardust to their International Champions Cup campaign , then they were right.       The Egyptian returned to action in style in New Jersey, helping Jurgen Klopp's side to a 2-1 win at a rain-drenched MetLife Stadium . Manchester City, who suffered at the 44-goal man's hands (or rather, feet) repeatedly last season, were again left to curse the former Roma man's presence. He is, it seems, the Premier League champions' tormentor-in-chief. Salah marked his first game for the Reds since that ill-fated Champions League final appearance with a goal, headed home just 62 seconds after his appearance as a second-half substitiute. If Klopp worried about rustiness, he needn't have. Liverpool's star man looked like he hadn't missed a beat.              So too did Sadio Mane, whose stoppage-time penalty sealed the ...

NO HIGUAIN OFFERS FROM CHELSEA OR AC MILAN,SAYS JUVENTUS CHEIF MAROTTA

Giuseppe Marotta said there has been "nothing concrete" from Chelsea and AC Milan regarding Gonzalo Higuain, though the Juventus chief executive admitted the striker could be sold following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo. Goal understands the Serie A champions are prioritising the sale of the Argentine striker and are hoping to get around £58m ($76m) for him after his two seasons in Turin. Higuain has been linked with a reunion with former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri at Premier League side Chelsea, while the Argentina international's name has emerged as a possible makeweight in a deal for AC Milan defender Leonardo Bonucci.                    Juve and Milan have already held talks over a potential swap, but Chelsea will have the advantage in talks if they advance on their interests due to Sarri's relationship with the forward. Marotta, meanwhile, revealed th...

EMRE CAN SAYS JURGEN KLOPP WISHED HIM LUCK WHEN HE LEFT

Former Liverpool midfielder Emre Can said manager Jurgen Klopp wished him luck at Juventus despite telling him he was leaving his ambitious project. Germany international Can, 24, left Anfield after four years when his contract expired this summer. He was joined at Juventus by Real Madrid's five-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo. "My relationship with Klopp was always good. He wished me all the best when I told him I was leaving," Can said. Can told BBC Sport the prospect of playing alongside Ronaldo was "amazing" and Juventus' "big" project is to win the Champions League. Can scored 14 goals in 167 appearances for Liverpool after he was signed for £9.75m by Brendan Rodgers in 2014. Klopp picked Can in 28 Premier League games last season, even though there was no suggestion he would sign a contract extension amid persistent rumours of a move to the Serie A champions. Can said: "Not a lot of managers would ...

ARSENAL BOSS UNAI EMERY SAYS CLUB CAN BE HOME FOR MIDFIELDER MESUT OZIL

Arsenal want to be like "home" for midfielder Mesut Ozil after he quit international football citing "racism and disrespect," says boss Unai Emery. The 29-year-old was criticised after being photographed with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in May. Ozil, who has Turkish roots, released a lengthy statement on Sunday saying his treatment made him "no longer want to wear the German national team shirt". "We are going to help him feel good and show his quality with us," said Emery. Ozil said he received threats and hate mail after the photographs with Erdogan were published. The German Football Association said it "emphatically rejected" Ozil's accusations of racism. How Ozil saga divided German football "Mesut has the respect of every player here," said Emery, who was appointed as Arsene Wenger's successor in May. "All of us want to help Mesut feel like it is his home here with us - like...

EVERTON FC SIGNS BRAZILIAN FROM WATFORD IN 50MILLION POUNDS DEAL

Everton have signed Brazilian winger Richarlison from fellow Premier League side Watford in a potential £50m deal. The Toffees are believed to have paid an initial £35m for the 21-year-old - who has signed a five-year contract - with clauses that could make him the club's record signing. Everton boss Marco Silva was managing Watford when they signed Richarlison for £11.5m from Fluminense in 2017. "I want to have a lot of success with Everton," said Richarlison. "I think it is going to be important for me to be with Marco Silva again. I will learn more because I am still learning as a player and I aim to develop and grow here. "I developed really well with him while he was with me at Watford. It was really good working with him and one day I believe he can help me to be selected for Brazil in the full national team. "Everton have put their faith in me and I intend to honour this shirt and demonstrate on the pitch why I came here. I want my...
